K2F Trademark Policy

The K2F Brand
K2F™ is the name of the K2F document format and its associated software, specifications, official tools, and related offerings.
The K2F project is currently maintained by Zheng Su. The K2F name and logo identify the project and its official offerings.
Open Source Does Not Mean Open Branding
K2F is an open-source project. Its software and specifications are available under their respective licenses.
These licenses do not, by themselves, grant permission to use the K2F name or logo in a way that misrepresents the origin of a product, suggests official endorsement, or implies an affiliation that does not exist.
You may use, modify, and distribute K2F software in accordance with its applicable license, subject to applicable law.
Permitted Use
You may use the name “K2F” to:
- Refer to the K2F document format or project.
- Describe software that implements or supports the K2F format.
- Discuss, review, teach, or document K2F.
- Accurately describe compatibility with K2F.
Independent implementations and compatible tools are welcome. They should not be presented as official K2F products unless they have been officially designated as such.
Use of the K2F Name and Logo
Please do not use the K2F name or logo in a way that falsely suggests that your product, service, or organization is an official K2F offering, or is endorsed, certified, sponsored, or operated by the K2F project.
Use of the K2F name for truthful references, compatibility descriptions, and other uses permitted by applicable law is not prohibited by this policy.

Trademark Status
K2F™ is used as a brand identifier. The ™ symbol indicates a claim to trademark rights; it does not mean that the mark is registered.
This policy does not claim that K2F is a registered trademark in any particular jurisdiction. Any trademark rights and their scope depend on applicable law and the relevant facts.
Future Ownership
The K2F brand is currently managed by Zheng Su. If a legal entity is established to operate the K2F project in the future, relevant trademark rights and brand assets may be transferred to that entity through appropriate legal documentation and any required formalities.
This statement describes a possible future arrangement and does not itself transfer ownership.
